Lap Band Before And After Pictures

Here's a really lovely video clip showing lap band before and after pictures from a young man from the US who starts his weight loss journey at the young age of 24.

His lap band story is a very moving one, from his choice of music and images used plus his own commentary.

You can clearly see he was in a really bad place before he had a lap band fitted, I think a very poignant image is the one where he is paddling in the sea on what looks a baking hot day, yet he is still wearing a long shirt and very long shorts. Look out for that one in the before pictures.

I tried everything in my will to lose weight
The last resort was gastric surgery for weight loss
At my heaviest I was 360 pounds
Life just seemed a little hard at times
Shopping was an ordeal, my waist was 56 and I was wearing 4X shirts

On August 29th 2006 I put college on hold and decided to change my life
Originally going to the doctors office for a gastric bypass, a young hip looking doctor introduced the lap band.
After talking to the doctor I attended the orientation and I was sold.

On September 19th 2006 I was in for surgery. This is my "new birth date"
Just a few days after surgery the pounds started finally coming off. It was great!!!
Life has some colour now.

He is shown in a picture at 320 lbs after losing 40 pounds
At 290 lbs after losing 70 lbs...
At 260 lbs after losing 100lbs...
215 lbs after losing 145 lbs...
Current weight 215 lbs.

Wow this guy has done brilliantly to lose so much weight and in the final lap band before and after pictures you'll see he looks amazing... a transformed character. Unfortunately we don't have any more information on how he has done since, if he has lost weight or indeed managed to keep off the weight he originally lost, but the video clearly show that there is an amazing outcome at the end of the weight loss surgery and all the worry, stress and doubt.

But lets also remember that whilst these pictures tell a wonderful story and everything looks good and motivational, the people who make these videos have had to make sacrifices both financially and physically to lose the weight they have done.

On the other hand, if they didn't feel it was worth the effort and hardship they wouldn't make the lap before and after videos in the first place. Also you get a wonderful fly on the wall, running story of this young mans fat loss journey through to seeing the final pictures of a very successful process.

Looking at a lap band before and after video like this can help us to visualise exactly what it is we are searching for and to put that in to a realistic context how losing weight and getting that dream might change our lives for the better.
